Already the gorilla was passing him by, an amused smile on his face. "Boy I must have spooked him good."
Normally, he would have not done anything. Today was different.
"What the fuck is your problem." He said evenly, but his voice carried.
The gorilla stopped and slowly turned back, as if in disbelief. A sneer curled up his lips. "What did you say?" A challenge, never expected to be taken on.
"You think you are so tough, but you really are not much. The only reason you did that was I am a smaller guy than you. If I were a 6 feet tall African American, you would never even think of it. If we fight, then I'll probably lose. But I am a better man than you. I am willing to pick a fight with a bigger man to defend my dignity. You will pick on a smaller guy because you think you can get away with it."

Why Write?
First I love reading. I have read countless great stories. The best of them can make one experience revealations. It's like discovering a secret room in the house you have lived all your life, and upon turning on the light, finding it filled with dazzling treasures, not made of gold or diamonds, but the stuff of human nature, however glorious or tormented. My hope is to be able to one day write stories that can move readers the way those great stories moved me.
